In this assignment you continue to configure network devices on packet tracer. The topology is given for you as shown below. At the end of each of the activity shown below, you will be able to successfully ping among devices.
Configuration tasks:
- Configure the router interfaces as shown in the diagram
- Configure the routers with RIP routing protocol
- Configure DHCP server, Web server, DNS server and PC6 with static IP address
- Home router is configured with DHCP address to provide IP for the laptops
- PCs in HQ receive receive the following information from DHCP server: IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server
-DNS server configured with the following information: Resource name: www.fictitiouscompany.ca, address: 192.168.18.200. Save your configureation once you are done configuring your DNS server
- Web server http protocol is disabled
- Discuss in one page your understanding of how our networks in real world function to provide us services based on the network you configured.
Checklist:
- PC0, PC1 and PC3 received IP addresses from DHCP server
- DHCP, DNS and Web server are configured with IP address and the necessary services
- All the servers are reachable from all HQ and Branch devices. They can access the web server from their web browser at https://www.fictitiouscompany.com
